Research
My main interest is in experimental economics. My recent research has focused on using experimental methods to explore discrimination in the labor market, the evolution of cooperation in society and social learning. I am currently working on two field experiments: one explores the effects of social interactions on consumption, financial and healthcare decisions and is funded in part by the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College and the National Science Foundation; the second experiment investigates the evolution of trust using a modified micro lending framework in a Peruvian Shantytown and is funded by the Russell Sage Foundation and its special initiative on the role of trust in society and the National Science Foundation.
